First, the belly button: the rest of Lydia's famous single-artery cord dropped off Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, which Mom thinks gives Lydia the record for fastest belly button time for any Muffin thus far. As for sleep, although Lydia didn't do much of it Tuesday night, she seems to be getting a little more in tonight. This means that Mom needs to go back to bed and get some, too. However, Mom first wants to note that Lydia had visitors today, including one bearing gifts of cute little girl clothes for when Lydia is bigger. The number of boys between Lydia and her older sister and the corresponding lack of girl clothes left over from said big sister make such gifts all the more welcome. :)
Note about the passing of big sister's baby clothes: What with moving, Dad's (now past) "let's have all boys" phase, and a relatively long run of baby boys, Mom decided it would be better to send big sister's girl clothes out into the world for other people to use rather than just having them sit in storage. Also, Mom was convinced that the only way to ever get another girl in the family was to not have a big stash of girl clothes on hand. Well, it worked! We have a girl! :)
